This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I believe that every student should walk into a well-stocked classroom where they will always have the supplies to create, learn, and explore new ideas.

Welcome to a 3rd grade, bilingual classroom full of hard-working, enthusiastic students!

My bilingual classroom is the landing spot for 3rd graders who have just arrived in the United States. My students are incredibly hard workers who always come to school ready to learn, no matter what is going on outside of the classroom. My goal as a teacher is to provide my students with all that they need to be successful learners.

My Project

My students love to be active, and move around the classroom. They enjoy using our flexible seating options to work collaboratively, find less distracting workspaces, and work with their friends. They also love to complete our weekly STEM Design Challenges, which range from creating the stretchiest slime to redesigning a city hit by a "hurricane". However, all of the movement and STEM work we do in our classroom can leave our space a bit dirty.

Constant movement from flexible seating and weekly STEM Challenges create a mess - we need some help to keep our classroom clean!

The new vacuum cleaner and broom will help us keep our classroom carpet looking as good as new each day after students come inside and bring the winter weather with them. Our swiffer will help us pick up hidden dust under tables and shelves that can make my students sneeze. Finally, clorox wipes will allow us to keep our tables and desks clean inside and out, which is critically important during this terrible flu season!
