My Students
My students come to school each day and leave behind all the difficulties of their home lives. These kids are an inspiration! My students live in extreme poverty, but they don't let that hinder their drive for success! Our school is a unique, one-of-a-kind opportunity for these inner-city kids to get the most out of their education through academic rigor and recognition for their hard work, and I am determined to do what it takes to help them achieve that!
My Project
Many of my students come to school in the winter with shorts/dresses on and do not have adequate warm clothing to get them through the winter.
My students need a dress code sweatshirt to wear in class (and outside of school) as well as vinyl for me to put our school's logo on them for a personalized touch!
We have grants to help keep our kids in dress code, but often that does not include warm clothing such as sweatshirts. I would love to give my students personalized sweatshirts for each one of them!
My students deserve to stay warm this winter season!
