Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are required to complete untimed state assessments in both ELA and Math. The assessments begin at 9 AM and can end a minute before dismissal because they are untimed. Unfortunately, some of the students never focus on the task of completing the exams because they get hungry or simply lose energy.
In order to ensure that the students maintain the energy and focus required to achieve on these assessments, I am requesting Pure Life purified water to keep them hydrated along with Smarties candy rolls, Blow Pop lollipops, Nabisco cookies, Lotus Biscoff biscuits, and Nature's Garden trail mix packets.
These items will help the students to complete the assessments in a manner that utilizes the time wisely. Without these snacks and drinks, the students will approach the exams thinking about when their lunch period will begin.
