My Project
This project is about teaching our future engineers and scientists how to live more sustainably. The materials will allow us to conduct experiments on growing our own produce. We will be able to use these tools to monitor not only results but our own thinking.
This project will allow us to set up control and variable systems to test how to best grow plants indoors.
Our growing world is aware of the climate crisis and the efforts it takes to bring food to our stores. Our plan is to demonstrate how to feed ourselves and lower our carbon footprint. These supplies will help us set up grow stations at different levels, using regular potted plants, as well as the hydroponic grow systems. Encouraging students to eat healthier and more sustainably is another big goal. Having a fridge in the classroom will allow my homeroom students to keep fresh items cool before lunch!
