Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a first-grade special education teacher, I’m always seeking ways to make learning more engaging and accessible for my students. DonorsChoose is an amazing organization that supports and enhances the learning experiences of the students at my school each and every year.
If this project were funded the children would have access to materials that will help them be successful at school.
We will use the items to enhance our reading, math and writing skills and will have resources to help us complete certain activities. The students won't have to worry about not having folders for their work, markers, or other materials and they won't have to disrupt class to ask a classmate for materials. Time will not be wasted looking for supplies, and the students will stay completely focused on the task at hand. Markers and erasers are used daily and can dry-out, and now the students will have the opportunity to borrow a marker and not need to worry about not having something to write with.
This project will make a difference to my students because they will have access to everyday items that make learning easier, more fun, and worry free. They will not have to worry about not having materials and there will be no reason for them not to be successful! We greatly appreciate your generosity and thoughtfulness. Please know that the positive impact you are making on a child's education does not go unnoticed!
