Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school honors the potential within each student, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment that champions academic achievement and positive behavior. As a part of this commitment, we have adopted the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework.
Through this program, we aim to encourage good behavior, foster a sense of community and ultimately, equip our students with the social and emotional skills necessary for success both in and out of the classroom.
In order to enhance this initiative, we are seeking funding to provide compelling incentives aimed at motivating our students to excel in their behavior and academics. We anticipate that these incentives would not only promote a positive school culture, but also ignite enthusiasm and motivation among our students, leading to improve behavior, attendance, and academic performance.
We are a Title One school. Many of our students qualify for free meals and others grapple with the cloud of fear of being deported.
It is our hope that investing in our students' goals and achievements, we are nurturing their futures and helping to break the cycle of poverty that entraps many in our community. We are asking that you consider a donation to support our PBIS incentive program. Any contribution, whether large or small, will directly impact our efforts in creating a more positive and productive environment for all of our students!
