This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help give my students a comfortable space to receive the mental health support they need to be successful students. A comforting space with warming lighting, plants, fidget toys and an aroma diffuser will help students de-escalate and learn the skills to manage their own mental health. These items will significantly enhance our students' learning experiences. Sensory toys are crucial for helping students manage anxiety and improve focus, allowing them to engage more fully in classroom activities. By providing these calming tools, I can create an environment where students feel safe and ready to learn. I am aiming to provide our students with the resources they need to thrive academically while also addressing their unique emotional needs. By focusing on these areas, we hope to empower our students to become more engaged learners and confident individuals.
