Supporting Young Changemakers: Climate Change Books for the Library

Help me give my students important books about climate change that show them ways that they can be good stewards of the environment.

My Project

Children are becoming increasingly aware of climate change from the news, social media, their peers, their families, and most obviously, from witnessing some of the extreme weather scenarios that the planet is experiencing. Our young friends have more and more questions about the natural world, and having a good selection of books in the library can empower them to be the change that is needed to reverse some of the environmental damage that has occurred.

One of the best ways to foster and support young environmental changemakers is to show them the beauty and wonder of their planet.

We cannot travel the globe with them but we can offer them as much information in the way of books and the things we teach them so that they are inspired to protect and care for the planet they call home.
