Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will support my students with autism. Students with autism require support across all domains, not only academically. We focus on social emotional, play skills, communication, sensory and more.
Providing my students with the proper materials to support their sensory needs is a necesity.
I would like to create a true calm down corner including a swing chair, a calming tent and various fidgets.
Toys students as play dough would help the students practice soothing skills, while working on their fine motor skills. In addition, there construction paper is always a need to work on out creative side, with incooperates fine motor skills.
