This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students benefit from sensory input to help them stay attentive and manage their energy levels throughout the day. These bouncy bands, soft seats, and wiggle seat and swing chair will offer a productive outlet for movement, reducing restlessness and improving their ability to concentrate on lessons.
The goals of this project are to create a supportive learning environment where students can self-regulate, increase their time on task, and develop essential coping skills for success in and out of the classroom.
By integrating sensory-friendly flexible seating, I aim to enhance student engagement, reduce distractions, and promote a sense of calm that allows them to reach their full potential.
What makes my students special is their perseverance, individuality, and eagerness to learn despite challenges they may face. They thrive when given the right tools and opportunities, and I want to ensure they have access to resources that support their unique needs. By providing sensory chairs, I hope to empower them to take charge of their learning in a way that works best for them.
