This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The student-centered Social/Emotional Learning competencies such as self-awareness and empathy are associated with better emotional and academic outcomes for students. Schools can help build and implement sustainable, quality programs that are evidence-based and effective for students with access to the right materials. Items in this project were selected to help students on an urban high school campus acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions. These skills will ultimately support improved academic outcomes for students.
