My Project
As a new 3rd grade teacher, I am incredibly excited to create a classroom environment where every student feels comfortable, valued, and ready to learn. I want to provide flexible seating options in our classroom to help meet their unique learning styles. Research and experience show that when students have the ability to choose how and where they work—whether it's on a wobble stool, a floor cushion, or standing at a tall table—they are more engaged, focused, and motivated. Flexible seating supports movement, encourages responsibility, and helps students feel a sense of ownership over their learning environment.
The products I have selected will help my students by giving them flexible seating options that support focus, movement, and comfort.
The wobble stools are great for students who need to move while they work—they allow gentle movement without being disruptive and help improve concentration. The tall stools will provide an alternative seating choice for students who prefer working at higher tables or standing desks, encouraging better posture and attention. The floor cushions are lightweight, easy to move, and perfect for creating cozy reading corners or group work spaces around the classroom. These seating options will empower students to make choices that help them learn best.
Throughout my time in different classrooms, I have seen the powerful impact that flexible seating can have on student engagement and ownership of learning. I am so excited to begin this new journey as a teacher and to create a classroom environment where every student feels comfortable, supported, and motivated to do their best.
