Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every child learns differently, and nowhere is this more evident than in the classroom. For my students, emotional regulation and flexible seating options are necessary to learn best. My students can use these sensory items requested to help them sustain attention during longer periods of work time and better engage with the ongoing instruction. When they feel emotionally disregulated, they can also use these items to calm down in a safe manner. My students are also sensitive to noises, so items such as headphones will help address such sensitivities so they can participate in their environment, learning or otherwise.

With these items, I hope to create a learning (really, a growing) environment that is most conducive to my students' needs.
