This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our vibrant kindergarten classroom, every child brings a unique story, culture, and language. We are a multicultural, multilingual group of young learners including several with special needs who are just beginning to learn how to navigate big feelings, manage impulses, and build focus. To support their social-l emotional growth, we are working on developing self-regulation skills. These skills that are essential for learning, playing, and thriving together.

Sensory tools and fidgets can make a world of difference for children who need help calming their bodies and minds.

With your support, I hope to provide a variety of sensory materials such as squishy stress relievers , textured toys and chalk, moving fidgets, light up gadgets, and sensory bin tools that students can use safely and independently.

These tools will help my students find calm, regain focus, and stay engaged in learning. When children have access to what they need to feel secure and supported, they can shine in the classroom and beyond. Thank you for believing in the power of early childhood education and in the importance of meeting children where they are, with kindness and understanding.
