Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school-based occupational therapist, I work with students across all grade levels including preschool-5th grade. Many of the students who I work with have difficulties with various motor skills and sensory processing skills.

These foam pits are specifically designed for our Pre-K students.

They are ideal for sensory integration therapy. The ball pit will be filled with colorful balls and the students will play with the balls practicing their motor skills. The ball pit will help strengthen the students grasp, recognize colors and develops movement-visual coordination. The number and color manipulatives are the perfect items to strengthen their fine motor skills while learning their colors and numbers.
