My Project

As a mental health team, we are committed to supporting our students' mental health. This school year has been as challenging as ever as we navigate the diverse needs of our students. We are seeing firsthand the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic as students are walking through the counseling door with more symptoms of anxiety and depression than we have ever seen.

At the beginning of the year, we knew it was time to get some updates supplied in our mental health and counseling space.

However, we weren't sure where the money was going to come from. When this opportunity arose, we knew we had to take advantage and get items that would create an inclusive, welcoming space. Furniture such as the bookshelf, lamps, and bins will add to our existing calming corner. The whiteboards and poster paper will help to support our school's GSA and small groups. Our hope is to re-supply our room with the tools and supplies to support the diverse needs of our students. We are working diligently to combat the impacts of the pandemic and these supplies will help us to do that.
