This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As I surveyed the students about which tools worked and what new tools would they feel most beneficial to learning they came up with following: erasers so their pencils are still good when completing work. Rulers, whiteboards graphs, markers, and erasers, to help them work in groups during graphing. They often get embarrassed if they don’t have the knowledge or supplies. The pencil cases to keep daily supplies organized in their table groups. In addition to this, the lights will provide a familiar ambiance in my new class this year. It creates a stress free place to come before school, during breaks, and for lunch.. While working with special ed and Gen. Ed students, I’m excited about teaching personal finance while preparing them for the demands and strategies needed and becoming an active member of society and their immediate community as they prepare for graduation.
