My Project
Hi there! First, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to help my students have the necessary supplies in order to succeed. One specific item that will be beneficial to my class is the fidget chair bands. My students have a hard time staying on task while being easily distracted. These bands will help encourage them to stay at their seats and stay on task. In turn, this will make the whole classroom less distracted and we will all be able to focus on the task we have at hand.
Two items that will also impact my student's learning are the wooden pattern geometric blocks and the interlocking plastic discs.
These items will allow our children to have hands on experience building many things. The wooden pattern geometric blocks will help my students learn all shapes and be able to match each shape to an outline. The interlocking plastic discs will go along with our STEM lessons. They will be able to build items many different ways while also improving their fine motor skills.
Next, I have selected two turtle stuffed animals with reversible sequins. These items will be placed in our calming corner. When students are having a hard day or just need a break, they are able to spend a couple minutes in our calming corner. This allows them to calm down and reset their attitude before returning to their desk. These stuffed animals will help them to calm down and regulate their emotions. Other items will allow our class to celebrate Christmas and be able to give families a memory of their student's kindergarten schoolyear!
