it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my journalism class, I’m working to create a mental health-focused environment that helps students manage the pressures of deadlines, research, and writing assignments. To support this, I’m requesting a comfortable desk chair and snacks through DonorsChoose. The desk chair will provide a cozy, designated space where students can sit, relax, and take a breather between assignments, or engage in open, one-on-one conversations when they need support. Snacks will help sustain students’ energy and focus, offering them a mental and physical break during long writing sessions or stressful periods.
By integrating these simple but impactful elements, I hope to foster a more supportive and comfortable learning atmosphere where students can feel less overwhelmed and more motivated.
