This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students include students from kindergarten up to 5th Grade with a variety of speech and language needs. They are creative, curious, and thoughtful learners! All of my students are absolute champions, giving their utmost best with their academic goals in their speech and language therapy sessions during a pandemic! They truly are, an inspiration!
All of my students would benefit from a plethora of evidence based therapy approaches, and to help them gain access to the best, they will need more books for effective literacy-based therapy and a variety of other resources!
Our school is nestled in the lower east side of Manhattan. My students are eager to learn and ready to grow through fun and effective therapy! They really are an incredible and wonderful group of children! Having access to these materials would really help and support their mighty efforts at catching up and accessing their school curriculum during a pandemic!
My Project
All of the books I have selected for this project will help students gain access to literacy based therapy which is a research and evidence-based intervention that targets a variety of speech and language needs, it also works amazing for group therapy in schools with mixed speech and language goals!
Hence, ALL of my students will definitely benefit from access to these books!
