Supporting Focus, Organization, and Cultural Growth
Help me give my students silent headphones, pencils, pens, snacks, coat hooks, and a sturdy chair to stay focused, organized, and energized while fostering a supportive learning environment in math, science, and SEL classes.
My students need resources to create a focused, organized, and thriving classroom environment. Silent headphones will allow us to engage in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) activities without disrupting neighboring classes, especially as we explore hip-hop rhythms and beats. In math and science, we always need pencils and pens to stay prepared and productive.
Snacks are crucial for my juniors, who start their day at 7:45 a.m.
but don’t have lunch until 1:00 p.m. These snacks help them stay energized and attentive during long mornings. Coat hooks will provide a solution for my advisory students, who struggle with small lockers that can’t fit their winter coats, helping them feel more organized and cared for.
Lastly, a sturdy chair is essential to replace the current one, which is falling apart, ensuring I can teach effectively and comfortably throughout the day. Each item on this list directly supports my students' ability to learn, grow, and thrive.
