My Project
In my first-grade classroom, it’s important for students to have tools that help them manage their emotions and stay focused. That’s why I’m requesting a feelings mirror, wiggle chair feet, and a sensory swirl chair. The feelings mirror will help my students recognize and express their emotions by allowing them to see their facial expressions and learn emotional awareness. The wiggle chair feet give my more energetic students a chance to move quietly while staying seated, helping them release excess energy without disrupting the class. Finally, the sensory swirl chair will offer calming visual and tactile stimulation, helping students who may need extra sensory input to stay focused.
These resources will create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment, giving my students what they need to feel calm, focused, and ready to learn.
