Supporting ESL Students On Their Path To Reading Success

My Project

Most of my kindergarten students are bilingual learners coming to school for the very first time. Some of them are new to the country and can only say one or two words in English when they arrive. They are anxious and excited to be in our classroom as they begin their journey to read and write in a whole new language. I love finding new and engaging ways to help them access this new adventure.

Using the TPT gift card and other classroom supply materials, I will be able to design and create developmentally appropriate literacy lessons and centers for my ESL students that many big box curriculums simply can not offer my diverse learners.

These materials will help motivate and engage some of the hardest working students out there! My students are like little sponges that soak up every little bit of knowledge you present to them as long as it is done through the lens of an ESL learner. They LOVE school and grow into confident learners when given the right mixture of love, support, and high quality learning materials.
