My Project

My students strive to do their best everyday and love learning. Unfortunately, COVID 19 has hindered their abilities to stay focused, maintain self regulation skills, and problem solve for themselves and their peers. In addition, they are behind where they academically need to be in first grade. They require hands on activities to help them understand their feelings, manipulate objects for math & literacy reinforcement, and learn how to be a student again. In our classroom we have a calm down area where students can go to regroup before returning to the lesson. The feelings matching activities with help my students reflect how they feel. The clocks will work perfectly for our telling time unit. The headphones will help my students hear while they are working on math and literacy on their Chromebooks during learning centers. The sight words will help their reading fluency and math flashcards with help with fact fluency.
