My Project
Working with diverse learners at TPM/HS in Northern Nevada can be challenging considering the students come from different backgrounds and have various learning abilities and behavioral challenges. With regards to social studies class, since students can struggle with literacy skills, I am requesting a Bluetooth scanner pen device to support student basic reading and writing skills to help them dictate the information to text. Also, the book in the shopping cart called the Four Agreements is a great tool to help teachers improve students' Social-Emotional Learning needs. Also, for social studies class, I added an economic ideology poster.
The Adulting for Beginners book is to be used for financial literacy and life skills.
The water-based markers and pencils, and Sharpies are for art class. The power tower, Bluetooth speaker, exercise bike, soccer goal, exercise ball, and workout posters are for Physical Education class, since I also teach PE. These supplies immediately impact learning in PE class, Social Studies, and American Government. Although most of my students struggle with learning disabilities and behavior challenges, over the years I have noticed that with support and resources, they can achieve academic success. Thank you.
