My Project
We are getting an increase in new students with limited or no English. I would love to provide them access to communicate with their teachers and peers to help them build stronger bonds in their community. When students have limited English and not an easy way to communicate in the school setting it can cause them to feel unwelcome and insecure. These will be provided for specific students and teachers who need access to them in the classroom.
These specific Pocketalks also allow students to take pictures of their classwork and it will translate it so that they can make connections to the content in their native language and English.
Every student deserves to feel safe and welcomed in a community. These translation devices will help support students in communicating, which will help them feel safe and welcomed.
