it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a bilingual itinerant speech and language teacher who works with children with an autism diagnosis and children who are deaf and hard of hearing (DHH). Play is an important part of a child's development. It encourages cognitive development, social skills, vocabulary, and pragmatic language development.
Children learn best when they are fully engaged; most of my speech therapy sessions consist of play-based learning.
Through play, children build their language skills by requesting, commenting, and describing the imagined activities. These materials will help support my students' speech and language skills in a natural and meaningful way.
