Help me give my students snacks, hygiene supplies and journals to memorialize their running experience.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Rivera's classroom raised $435
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Girls On the Run/Heart and Sole is a program designed to introduce girls to the world of running. The program includes social/emotional curriculum, supports healthy choices and teaches lifelong lessons.
Our girls are excited to lace up their shoes and begin to exercise.
The donations will provide them with snacks, hygiene items and journals to use as they participate in the program. By the end of Spring, 2023, our girls will run a 5K in downtown Chicago. For some girls, this will be the first time they visit downtown Chicago and the first time they finish a race!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
