Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year has definitely been one of perseverance! We have a lot of students at our school who missed fundamental social skills on top of facing many other challenges because of Covid-19. My students are learning about themselves, how to be a good friend and how that helps our brains grow. These resources will teach my students about the many different emotions they can feel every day. Some of the resources are games that will be used to develop social skills. Adding the social emotional books for students to read on their own will be a useful tool for calm down time. Listening to relaxing music or calming read alouds will be used in a calm down corner to help students feeling big feelings, calm down. These resources will teach my students how to regulate their emotions. These resources will help our amazing program and will help get these students back up in areas that were affected because of COVID-19.
