My Project

Our English Department has acquired some great resources to help our students within the classroom. These resources allow students to interact and engage with all types of texts and media, but there are a few things that we need to ensure that our students can fully access and take advantage of these programs.

The headphones will allow our students to listen to videos and pre-recorded lessons.

It will also support the needs of auditory learners, English language learners, and students who need to focus on their work and limit distractions. Headphones will assist teachers in personalizing instruction for our students without taking them out of the whole class setting, allowing student to move at their own pace.

We are also finding that many of our students lose or forget to charge their Chromebooks, so we are asking for help to keep their devices charged with chargers and surge protectors while using programs that drain the battery more quickly.

The headphones, chargers and surge protectors will be shared among 7 teachers in the department. We are in a Title 1 school, so many of our students can not purchase their own headphones or purchase a new charger if one is lost, stolen or damaged. Teacher are not given extra chargers to help students whose device die in the middle of instruction. So we are asking for help and appreciate anything that you can give.
