This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have six autistic male students in an inner city special needs school who need your help to build a warm and welcoming classroom environment. They are all very talented and creative, love music and arts and I want to provide them with some elements that will support their learning needs and creativity.
One of my students is a great musician and I want him to explore the sounds of the drum.
Others just need a nice space to cool down and relax when stressful situations arise, this is the main reason I want to provide them with the bean bags and pillows. Others are excellent building and the Picasso tiles will be a big incentive for them. The weighted vest is need for an adolescent who has a lot of sensory issues to help them find tranquility.
With your help, we will be able to increase our attention and focus as well as academy achievement while making us happy!
