Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our school, interculturality isn’t just a value. It’s our reality. Every year, we welcome newcomers from Central America.
They are bright resilient students from El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala who are beginning a new life in the United States.
They face the challenge of learning a new language, adapting to a new culture, and catching up with rigorous academic standards all at once.
Many of these students come from low-income families and arrive without the basic materials needed to participate fully in class. Without support, their potential can go untapped.
This project will help level the playing field. With your donation, we can provide essential science supplies like poster board, glue, highlighters, and dry erase markers that allow every student to engage in hands-on learning, think critically, and dream boldly. Together, we can ensure that each student has a fair chance to succeed.
