Help me give my students snacks to fuel them during dance class and throughout their day. My students are required to be very physically active in my class. My students need more than is provided by school lunches.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello! My name is Ms. Bell and I teach Dance at a Title I high school in Los Angeles. My students are growing teenagers with strong needs for adequate nourishment throughout their school days. My students frequently ask for snacks throughout the day because their school lunches can only provide so much nutrition for them. They are required to be physically active not only in my dance class, but in PE and the sundry of sports they participate in throughout the day.
My students learn and perform better when they are well-fed and I have seen firsthand the difference adequate nutrition can make in their overall social and emotional wellbeing.
My goal is to give my students 1 snack per day to help them be successful at school. I am unable to adequately fund the food needed for my students out of my own pocket and that is why I am reaching out for support to the DonorsChoose community. My students are hardworking, intelligent, creative, and kind. They deserve to not go hungry. Please help my students be successful by donating to our cause. Thank you so much for your time, consideration, and care!
