Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We need funding for hydration backpacks to prevent heat exhaustion during events and practice, knee pads, gloves, and tumbling mats to reduce injury during practice of choreography or tricks. Healthy snacks and drinks will help our students stay hydrated & energized during long rehearsals. We’re also requesting craft materials to for small prop pomegranates, and to purchase the flower crown prop, both are key elements in our performance. An adjustable transporter cart is requested to safely move our equipment, as we do not have our own rehearsal space.
As a Title I school serving primarily Hispanic and low-income families, our goal is to remove barriers so every student can fully participate without financial burden.
With your support, our students can experience the same high-quality opportunities in performing arts as their peers in more well-funded programs.
Supporting Color Guard supports the entire band program, UIL competitions, and the success of our marching shows—because when guard members are safe, confident, and proud, it lifts the spirit and performance of the whole group.
Through this activity, they grow not only as performers but also as leaders, teammates, and artists in a space where discipline, creativity, and connection build a chosen family.
