Help me give my students fun, hands-on learning materials, and special education modifications
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Mirana's classroom raised $597
This project is fully funded
My Students
The students in my classroom are a mix of 3 and 4-year-olds who have been identified as having significant learning needs that require a small classroom with a special educator. My students have extremely limited language skills as well as many other developmental delays. They also have many strengths. They are excited to come to school, they love to play, and are eager to learn. Over 90% of students in our school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
My Project
My students have short attention spans and require a variety of classroom materials to stay engaged, learn to work with their peers, and learn pre-academic skills for future success. Magna-tiles, special sand, and toy bugs are a few materials that will make the classroom environment more engaging for the children.
Some materials, such as laminating pouches and velcro will be used to provide special education supports for the children, to help them transition from one activity to the next.
Presentation books will be used to create books about our classroom. These books which show the real work engage the children to reflect on their learning and the learning of their peers.
