This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Seniors have been students here since they were sixth graders. They have worked hard to demonstrate their academic excellence and take much fewer breaks than most schools do in their school year to celebrate their extensive achievements. Within their first semester as seniors, they applied to over eight universities, interned and volunteered in numerous organizations within our communities, and applied to hundreds of scholarship opportunities to prepare for college. They are highly determined, hardworking students, to say the least.
Now that they have officially entered their FINAL SEMESTER of high school, we want to support them in their quest to create the perfect ambiance for all the senior class events they have been looking forward to!
We want our students to have the decorations and supplies they need in celebrating their accomplishments. The senior class would like to use the decorations for Air Band and Senior Class Dinner. Some of the other supplies are in preparation for the culminating event: Prom! The toiletries and hygiene items will be used to stock bathrooms with a “freshen up” caddy. The sashes will be worn by our prom court! The stage lights can also be used in so many ways around the school for other events once our seniors have graduated.
