This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My K-2 English Learners are excited to make reading progress! They have been working hard to learn letter sounds, sight words and blending strategies.

One of our favorite reading websites is Half Pint Kids.

We can access fun and engaging online decodable books on our Smart Board. Each book includes focus letters, key words, and an interesting story. The books are designed to build on skills from previous activities. We would love to have print copies of the online books so that we can practice reading with partners and on our own.
