My Project

These supplies will make such a difference in our classroom, and I’m so excited to share them with my students! I’ve noticed how much they love reading, especially graphic novels like March, Miles Morales, and The Crossover. They’re always eager to pick up new books, and I can’t wait to see their faces light up when they discover these new additions. By offering a wide variety of books, I can ensure each student finds something they connect with—whether it’s a story that mirrors their own experiences or one that sparks their imagination.

With a wide range of English proficiency, these graphic novels and supplies will help increase my students access to diverse literacy materials and supplies.

Many of my students also come from immigrant and refugee backgrounds, so ensuring they feel represented and seen in the stories they read and curriculum they are taught is so important.

Beyond the books, I’ve chosen things like fidget toys and colorful note cards with my students in mind, especially those who benefit from sensory supports to help with focus. These little tools will go a long way in keeping everyone engaged and feeling good throughout the day.

I truly believe these new materials will not only enrich our classroom but also help my students grow as independent, motivated learners.
