Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a junior high English Language Arts teacher, I believe every student deserves to see themselves reflected in the stories they read—and to explore perspectives beyond their own. I’m seeking support to provide a variety of educational magazines that showcase diverse voices, cultures, and current events.
These magazines will expose my students to real-world topics and authentic texts that celebrate representation, foster empathy, and spark meaningful discussions about identity, equity, and global issues.
From articles on Indigenous history to profiles of contemporary changemakers from different backgrounds, these resources will help students connect literacy with the world around them.
