Help me give my students more authentic resources. These supplies include magnets they can interact with. They can also practice with French calendars and matching vocab.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students enter my class each day to learn French. However, in southern California, they often have limited exposure to French culture, cuisine, and especially French literature.
I strive to create an environment that encourages my students to learn and use the target language, French, as much as possible.
Often, the only time these students communicate in French is in my classroom. So I do my best to offer them a place to learn that is conducive to them as high school students.
My Project
This project helps me develop my program with some interactive activities for my students. These activities will give them access to authentic French resources. Also, the gift card gives me resources and new strategies to use with my students.
This project will also remind my students that their comprehension of French words will continue to grow each semester.
With new methods, students are challenged to put their knowledge to the test. My hope is that they feel supported to step up to the challenge and reach new heights in their World Language French journey.
