Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students that I support are nothing short of amazing. They range in grade level from kindergarten to fifth grade, and have infinite potential. Whether in or out of the class room, they can always be found stretching themselves to new limits. Some are exceptional singers or dancers, while others enjoy arts and crafts. They all have a real shot at being beyond extraordinary if nurtured properly.
I see a little piece of myself in each of these children, and I want to make sure that they have all of the necessary resources and support that they need to thrive.
My Project
This project is a continuation of the most recent endeavor that was successfully funded. As we continue to advocate and provide support for the student population at our school who are temporarily housed or that struggle with homelessness, we realize that there are certain things necessary to sustain our mission.
Each item on this list already has a purpose and a placement, both of which support the mission and the heart of this effort.
The refrigerator is necessary for preservation of edible resources. The shelving will be used to store toiletries and cleaning products prior to package assemblage for families in need. The remainder of the items on the donation list will be added into the general inventory and will be provided to families as needed
You all are heroes that work behind the scenes to make this all possible and I'm excited to see this project come to fruition. Changing lives, one family at a time.
