Help me give my students opportunities for more hands-on learning! Lap desks and letter games will help keep bodies calm, focused and engaged while we work.
My favorite part about teaching Kindergarten is how excited my students are to be in school every day! The students in my class are kind, and eager to learn new things. They are figuring out how to take care of themselves and how to become thoughtful, interested, independent and inquisitive people (alongside the hard work they do during their academic lessons). They are brave risk-takers in their learning, and they work as a team and support each other no matter what.
My Project
The items requested for this project will help our more active students keep calm and focused bodies while still allowing them to participate in hands-on learning. The requested lap desks will help students remain focused and in control of their bodies during whole group lessons while offering a flexible seating option. The letter games will offer our tactile/kinesthetic learners to use their whole bodies to help them read and learn. Students will have the opportunity to build words, and sound them out using their hands and bodies to help them learn. It will also make their learning more fun!
