Help me give my students musical instruments for elementary music class. There aren't many musical instruments in the classroom currently, and I would love to give these kids the opportunity to play instruments and have more kinesthetic options.

My Project
This is my 3rd year teaching music and my first year teaching in NYC. One of the biggest reasons I moved here and wanted to teach pubic school music was because of the rich history and culture of music in this city. I am a saxophonist and singer who was very fortunate to grow up in an area that had funding for me to start playing a wind instrument and be engaged in music from a young age, and those opportunities transformed my life and ignited my passion for music and teaching.
My hope for this elementary music program is to provide students with opportunities that will inspire them to continue with music and to connect with their friends, family, community, and culture through this art form.
This is such an important opportunity for young learners, and I want them to have the materials they need to be engaged and empowered to learn. The more opportunities these students have to make music through different mediums such as percussion (pitched and unpitched), movement, and singing/rhythm-based games, the more likely they will be to continue making music.
Thank you for your support and for helping to improve music education in New York City!
