This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 7th/8th ELD (English Language Development) for Newcomers and more proficient levels in Reading/Writing/Speaking/Listening, along with 7th/8th ELA (English Language Arts).
Many of my newcomers and students still acquiring English require support to translate into their own specific primary languages.
The pocketalk devices assist students in collaboration, sharing their thinking, understanding lessons, activities, assessments, and projects. This will support students in applying all their learning when reading nonfiction texts, novels, annotation, constructed responses, and essay writing.
My goal is to support all learners to progress and be successful in all areas, academically, and socio emotionally.
