My Students

“You have a lot of choices to make today. Make great ones.” This is what we hear our principal say every morning.

Our school is not your typical school; we’re a family.

We are a Title I school with many English Learners. Shifting to distance learning in the spring was a challenge for everyone, but it was even more challenging for students with limited resources at home. Teachers and staff worked tirelessly to ensure that students’ basic needs were met and that they had the resources to access their online classes. Once they had the resources they needed, the students resumed the hard work that we typically see from them in the classroom.

As we continue with distance learning this fall, we want to provide our students with a wider variety of educational activities, but this means they need additional resources. Make a great choice today and help our students make the most of their education.

My Project

Our district has provided all students with Chromebooks. They are working to get internet hotspots to households that need them. However, having a few additional accessories will improve the students’ educational experience. Having headphones with a microphone will allow students to better participate in virtual class meetings. They will also help reduce distractions at home. A stylus will make it easier to complete assignments, particularly for math, chemistry, and physics, digitally. These items will be distributed to students schoolwide. Please help our students as we continue with distance learning this fall.
