My Project
Our team is need of additional tools to be able to design and create working pieces for our robot that we will be competing with at First Tech Challenges.
The students are a dedicated group of Detroit Middle School innovators that are up for the challenge.
With a 3D printer, our team will be able to create lighter weight components for the robot that will allow them to move swiftly with better precision.
These challenges are way more than just building robots. First Tech Challenge students learn to think like engineers. Teams design, build, and code robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Robots are built from a reusable platform, powered by Android technology, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
