This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Art is a joyful and essential part of learning in our TK classroom. My 4- and 5-year-old students love to express themselves through color, shape, and texture. This project will provide our class with a variety of art materials, including paints, paintbrushes, watercolor paper, oil pastels, stickers, ink pads, Play-Doh, markers, and painting smocks. These tools will support students as they explore their creativity through hands-on, expressive learning.

These materials offer more than just fun—they help build fine motor skills, self-confidence, and emotional expression.

With a variety of textures, colors, and tools to choose from, students will be able to explore different artistic techniques during centers, free choice, and guided lessons. Whether they're sculpting with Play-Doh, experimenting with pastels, or layering colors on paper, each child will have the opportunity to express their unique ideas.
