My Project
Our esports club has been an exciting and growing part of our school community, bringing students together around games like Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. As we continue to grow, we want to offer more students the chance to participate by expanding the types of games we can support.
With the addition of two Xbox consoles and controllers, we can introduce games like Madden and NBA 2K, which are not only student favorites but also titles with organized competitive scenes at both the high school and collegiate levels.
These games offer different skill sets and appeal to a broader range of students, especially those interested in traditional sports and strategy-based play.
By supporting this project, you’re helping us create a more inclusive, dynamic, and accessible esports program where all students can find a place to compete, build friendships, and grow.
Why This Matters:
Equity & Access: Not all students have access to consoles or these games at home. This gives them a safe, structured, and social environment to play.
Engagement & Motivation: Esports engages students who may not be involved in traditional extracurriculars and helps build community.
College & Career Connections: Many colleges now offer esports scholarships and programs. Exposure to a wider variety of games can open new pathways.
