Support Bilingual Family Story Time

Help me give my students books to read and sing with their families in their home language of Spanish. We plan on hosting quarterly family Storytime for our bilingual learners.

My Project

It is a well know fact that families that read, sing and talk together grow great readers. The families of our bilingual learners deserve a chance to build these traditions in their home language with high quality books and materials.

At our school we host parent breakfasts for our Spanish speaking families where we share stories and songs as well as food and fellowship.

You generous donation will help us purchase new books and a coffee maker to help us welcome our families. We will be able to strengthen ties and relationships with Spanish speaking families at this quarterly Storytime.

Students will benefit by building literacy skills in their Home Language that will transfer to their work in the classroom. The books will also be used during weekly bilingual shared reading lessons in the PK classrooms which will be led by ESL teachers and Bilingual staff members.
