Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Supporting students with autism has taught me the power of patience, understanding, and connection. Every child is different, and when we take the time to truly see and hear them, incredible things happen.
I’ve learned that a calm voice, a consistent routine, and a safe, accepting space can make all the difference.
Watching a student light up when they feel understood or succeed in something they once found difficult is deeply rewarding. Helping them flourish isn’t about fixing them—it’s about celebrating who they are and walking alongside them as they grow, learn, and shine in their own unique way.
